Terms of service.

Payments

Payments can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or cash. In certain circumstances, you may be asked to pay 100% of your project fee upfront, however in most cases, you will need to pay 50% of your project fee upfront, with the remaining 50% to be paid on completion.

Failure to pay your final invoice within a 30 day period from the invoice date will result in additional fees and charges or cancellation of the work. Failure to pay at all will result in legal action.

Revisions and Turnaround

All mixes and masters include unlimited revisions. Revisions from the client must be reasonable and fair: adjustments in volume, changes in tone, adding specific effects, and suggesting ways in which the track might sound stronger are all viable and accepted points of feedback. A complete change in production, contradictory notes between revisions, or totally different mix aesthetics from the initial mix/master consultation will need to be negotiated on a case by case basis.

Turnaround times described in our FAQ’s may vary but will be agreed with you in writing on a case-by-case basis. If there is a large number of projects that I am currently working on and I think that I might not be able to complete your project within your timeline, I will let you know prior to confirmation of acceptance of work. If extenuating circumstances arise which do not allow me me to complete your project by the deadline, I will communicate this with you as soon as possible and provide a viable and reasonable solution.

Right to Refuse

Sam Baldwin reserves the right to decline work - this may occur when I can't meet your project deadline or in the unlikely event that I feel I can’t contribute to the style of music. Track lengths exceeding 6 minutes may vary in mixing and mastering fees, for example, a 45 minutes epic progressive rock song, or an orchestral suite, does not count as one track and may need to be charged additionally.

Refund Policy

If I am unable to finish your mix/master due to a substantial amount of revisions or a change in project direction, then the initial 50% mixing/mastering fee will be held by Sam Baldwin for the work undertaken. If a band/artist decides to cancel the mixing/mastering of their track but substantial work has already been undertaken on the project, then up to 100% of the mixing/mastering fee will need to be paid.
